Erotik Art Museum

Ein Bericht von unserem Besuch im Erotic Art Museum in Hamburg. Das Museum war in seiner Existenz gefährdet und hat mittlerweile bereits seine Tore geschlossen. Umso schöner, dass wir vorher noch reinschauen konnten.

Im Erotic Art Museum finden heute verschiedene andere Ausstellungen statt. Ihr findet es auf der Reeperbahn auf St. Pauli. Am besten fährt Ihr mit der S1 zur Haltestelle "Reeperbahn", das Museum befindet sich gleich daneben.

Erotische Kunst

Auf mehreren Stockwerken verteilt fanden wir Erotica aus allen Zeiten, hergestellt auf verschiedenste Arten (Gemälde, Zeichnungen, Skulpturen, Fotos) und zu allen möglichen Themen.

Im ersten Geschoss war eine große Sammlung mit asiatischer Erotik untergebracht. Japanische, Chinesische und Indische Erotikkunst zeigten uns wie alte Kulturen mit der sexuellen Darstellung locker umgingen.

Aber auch europäische Künstler ließen sich nicht lumpen. Allerdings wurden diese Bilder nur unter dem Tisch oder in kleinen Zirkeln gehandelt.

Das Thema der gefesselten Frau (Bondage) hat schon die alten Künstler inspiriert:

Mehrere Sexpartner, Gruppensex und wilde Orgien sind auch keine neue Erfindungen und wurden entsprechend häufig dargestellt

Manch alter Meister zeichnete und malte mit humoristischen Ideen, die heutigen Pornografen leider abgehen:

Wechsel-Ausstellungen zeigen häufig aktuelle Sex- und Porno-Fotografien - höheren Niveaus natürlich. Bei unserem letzten Besuch trafen wir auf eine Ausstellung über die Geschichte von St. Pauli mit vielen Fotos aus alten Tagen. Hier seht Ihr, wie es früher im Salambo zuging: Sex pur auf der Bühne!

Erotic Art Museum

A report of our visit to the Erotic Art Museum in Hamburg. The museum has been closed in the meantime. Therefore we are glad that we could watch in before it closed the gates.
In the Erotic Art Museum other exhibitions take place today. A restarting with erotic works of art is planned, may be they move to the old museum at St. Pauli.
The new museum is situated on the Reeperbahn at St. Pauli. Best way to get there - you take the S1 to the station "Reeperbahn", the museum is just above the metro station.

On several floors we found Erotica made in all centuries and with different skills (paintings, designs, sculptures, photos) and to all possible topics.
On the first floor we saw a large collection of Asiatic erotic art. Japanese, Chinese and Indian erotic art showed us how old cultures represented sexual topics with full details.

But European artists were not lazy either. However these pictures were distributed only "under the table" or among insiders.

The topic of bondage already inspired the artists from old times being:

Sex with more than one partner, bi sex, group sex and wild orgies aren't new inventions and were often represented:

Some ancient masters painted with ideas of sexual fun, which we seldom see on today's porno pictures:

However any artists use pins and brushes furthermore for the conversion of their imaginations. Some of them can hardly be realized photographically:

The museum exhibited new sex and porno photographs - high levels, of course. At our last visit we saw an exhibition about the history of St. Pauli with many photos from the "old days". Here you see how it happened to be in the Salambo in former times: Sex live on stage!
